Thanksgiving...........

Psalm 100:3-5  (NIV)
3 Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
    we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations.

This Psalm reminds me of all we should consider when we celebrate the holiday of Thanksgiving this month.  We are so very richly blessed and most of the time we neither see it nor thank God for what He has provided. Our society moves so fast now.  Christmas decorations making their appearance before fall is in full swing. We become so busy worrying about the next thing that we don't take the time to enjoy what is right in front of us.

Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.”

Take time this season and be still in the Lord's presence.

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 (NIV)
16 Rejoice always,
17 pray continually,
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Make a list of all that you have to be thankful for!
Jesus
Family
Friends
Home.........
You get the idea.  The list will be as varied as each person who writes it.  Let the Lord know how much you appreciate each and everything that He has given to you and give thanks for all of it, He loves you.

Happy Thanksgiving!
